We maintain a list of current NRS members which includes your name, address and, if you have provided it, a telephone number(s) and email address. This list is kept up to date by our Membership Secretary and distributed to committee members only.
We only use this information to provide you with membership benefits such as the Newsletter, membership renewal and information about meetings and visits to which NRS members are invited.
We do not publish contact details of new members in the Newsletter.
We will not provide the information we hold about you to other organisations or to other individuals. If anyone, inside or outside the NRS, requests your contact details, you will be informed and left to act as appropriate.
If you resign from NRS or do not renew your membership we will delete your contact details from our records when the current year’s membership expires.
You may request a copy of your personal information from the Membership Secretary in writing or by email at any time.
If you no longer wish NRS to retain your personal information, then on written or email request to the Membership Secretary, we will delete these details. However if the request requires deletion of your name and address, your membership of the Society will terminate.
We password protect membership records stored on computer and paper records are kept in a locked location. When membership records are updated committee members destroy all previous versions by shredding paper copies and securely deleting electronic copies.
